We designed our A Frame and
pendulum target holder in response to requests from hunters desiring a
light weight setup to go with them to their leases. It assembles
without tools. The pendulum is built to present an attached plate at an
angle to
disperse part of the projectile energy downward. We offer short,
medium, heavy duty medium, and long length pendulums. The short is
-6" and the long is +6" when compared to the medium length
pendulums. We use two carriage bolts to attach
the rifle target to the pendulum. The bolts may be either 1/2" by 1 1/4 inch (13
threads per inch) or 7/16 by 1 1/14 inch (14 threads per inch)
and are commonly found in
hardware and farm implement stores. They are easily replaced if hit and
damaged. We recommend that spares (bolts, washers and nuts) be carried
to the field - oh - don't forget the wrench! Our most popular plate is
the 8" top mount round AR500 rifle target. We also offer plates
in 4", 6", 10" and 12' diameters plus a Teardrop target
. There are
other top mount rifle targets available. See "Home",
"Rifle Targets" for other target
designs.

We also have a pendulum to
permit the use of our single center hole handgun targets. They too are
available in 4", 6", 8", 10" and 12" diameters
along with other single hole targets. See "Home",
"Handgun Targets" for other
target designs. We use a single 1/2" by 1
1/14" grade 8 plow bolt to attach a target plate to the pendulum.
We have not had to replace any of the bolts in 10+ years of use. Yes -
they have been hit many times!

We offer an A-frame storage rack for the ASP system. It will hold
all of the plates, stems and bases used to create the 78+ American
Speed Plate stages. The foot print of the rack is 48" long ( the skids
are pressure treated timbers) 39.5" wide and 60.5" tall. The
frame is designed to hold both stem clamped and mounted targets.
Mounted targets will not fit onto the storage bar if they
require flipping over.
|
|
There is an A-Frame storage rack adapter that bolts to the flat target
storage bars. The adapters are only required if a stem mounted
target requires flipping over (the plate mount doesn't slip over the
bar).

We designed the Dueling Popper for use as the stop plate during man
on man competition. The plates are angled to fall on top of each other
when hit. The plate on the bottom is the winner. We construct our
hinges (as we do with all hinged targets) to close tolerances. Bullets
hitting the plate will provide most of their energy to the target and
not to taking out plate hinge slop. Pictured is the prototype. Pricing
and availability are pending.

The Layover AR400 8" round target was derived from one
segment of our plate rack.
All of the plates designed for the plate rack will bolt to the hinge
assembly.
The target falls backwards 90 degrees when
it is hit. The hinge mechanism is protected by a deflector plate and a
square tube adapts it to fit one end of a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x
1/4" angle iron. The plate is reset by hand.

Our
Mini pepper popper plate assemblies are 28" tall with an 8" diameter
center target. The plate is 3/8" AR400 or AR500 and is
reversible. The assembly is supplied with legs which are removable and a
built in buffer pad. The pepper popper can be used without the legs
installed. No tools are required to install the legs. The buffer
pads should be kept clean of debris to prevent damage by the falling
plate driving foreign materials into the pad. Classic
mini poppers plates are available and can also be bought in either
AR400 or AR500 steel. We are offering a kit to convert the plates from
rearward to forward falling. Replace the adjustment bolt with the kit,
turn the pepper popper assembly around, set the plate sensitivity and
shoot!
The plate will fall flat on the base plate. The units will stack neatly
if alternating assemblies are flipped upside down.

Our
full size pepper poppers are 42" tall with an 12" diameter
center target. The plate is 3/8" AR400 or AR500 and is
reversible. The assembly is supplied with a built in buffer pad. The buffer pad should be kept clean of debris to prevent damage by the falling
plate driving foreign materials into the pad. Classic full size poppers plates are available and can also be bought in either
AR400 or AR500 steel. Our unique design uses the plate to protect the
adjustment bolt. The plate will fall flat on the base plate shock
absorber. The units will stack without units being flipped upside down.

The plate rack is designed with 14" centers. We offer many
different plate designs. Our current plate offerings can be found under
"Home", "Handgun
Targets"

The Transportable Target stand
(Stick Holder) assembles
without tools in less than 30 seconds. The legs are 3 feet long to improve target
stability in wind. The disassembled foot print is 3' long (the
legs), about 4" wide and 5
1/2" tall.
